Heading a crew equally constituted of disabled and valid athletes, created with the quadriplegic adventurer Laurent Marzec, Eric sets a sailing record between Brittany and Mauritius. It’s still the only mixed team to hold a world ocean record. “Difference is only a richness if you set your heart to it.”
The worst enemy of difference is naive optimism or righteousness. When you are at the heart of a storm and you have to entrust the bar, it doesn’t matter if your crewman is seated or standing, young or old, white or black. What you seek at that moment is trust.
